Quick answer: on a US Etsy sale you pay a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping, and payment processing of 3% + $0.25 on the order total. If the sale came from an Etsy offsite ad, add 15% (or 12% if your shop made over $10,000 in the past year), capped at $100 per order.
Offsite ads only apply when a buyer clicked an Etsy ad on another site. The 12% rate is mandatory for shops with over $10,000 in sales in the past 12 months.

vintage, handmade and the rules
Etsy only allows handmade items, craft supplies and vintage items that are at least 20 years old. Reselling new mass-produced clothing breaks its seller policy and can get a shop suspended.
Selling genuine vintage designer pieces is generally lawful under the first sale doctrine. But you can’t use a brand’s logo or name to suggest an official connection. Here’s where the line sits.
“inspired by” listings
Tags like “Chanel style” or “dupe” in a listing title are a common reason for intellectual property takedowns on Etsy. Describe what the item is (the material, era and silhouette) rather than which brand it resembles.

For a $45 item with $5 shipping and no tax, Etsy takes $0.20 listing, $3.25 transaction (6.5% of $50) and $1.75 processing (3% of $50 plus $0.25), about $5.20 or 10.4%. An offsite ad sale adds $7.50 at 15%.
Does Etsy charge fees on shipping?
