Mugler Spring Summer 2021

Mugler organised it’s Spring Summer 2021 Ready to Wear collection with the motive to present the “sneaky way of doing couture”. The idea of the collection was to combine the day to day interesting wardrobe to some jaw-dropping scandalous stuff; with the combination of fabric technology and illusion. The digital fashion masterpiece featured models as Digital Pegasus.

The fashion show was entirely based on the sci-fi theme with the tint of presenting the non-obvious way of ramp work, ie, models break into dance on the runway.

The creative head of Mugler, Casey Cadwallader in an interview stated that he always wanted such a non obvious way and exclaimed that such a way is definitely risky in cases of live shows, hence taking the benefit of virtual upfront.

The collection was entirely the combination of how two different categories and/or material of fashion can be put together in the most seamless manner.

The creative head designed this spring collection with the mindset of celebrating different body shapes and that all bodies need to be designed for, not merely skinny “model appropriate” bodies, and clothes does not make anyone feel bad about them.

Mugler presented it’s virtual digital show in a two- part showcase, first part debuted in October 2020 and second part on April 1, 2021.

In the thrilling opening, Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer brought the life to the show who leaped onto the ramp with the runway production’s choreography and filmography along with other supermodels Alek Wek, Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid, Omahyra Mota and many more.
