Kapil Kelkar

Mr. Kapil Kelkar, 16+ years Experienced in the field of Fashion design, presently working as Principal of a Design institute SIDI (Space institute of Design & Innovation) located at Raipur city of Chhattisgarh. he has done his Bachelor's, Master's in fashion design and currently pursuing his Ph.D in Fashion design where he is exploring the area of converting the traditional folk art of Chhattisgarh "DHOKRA ART", a metal craft into fashion ready accessories and inculcating the dhokra art into fashion market. He has mentored many students till date, who are now working as designers in various cities of India and developing themselves as professional designers. He is an expert in Fashion Illustration, Draping, Fashion fundamentals, Elements and Principles of design etc subjects. He has been awarded with Teacher's Contribution Award by Ex CM of Chhattisgarh Dr. Raman Singh. He is also invited as a member of Board of studies in various colleges and universities like Amity University, Raipur; Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University, Kalinga University, Raipur to name a few. He has also judged many fashion shows and events and also worked as Groomer and mentor for many fashion show participants.
